Im glad I said Yes

My body may not know whats good for me
But my mind does
I may not know whats good for me
But God does
I have protection all around me
In the moment I cannot see it
Im stubborn to see it
I dont even want to believe it
But they do.

Its in the little things
Blessings do not get blocked completely
Chances do not slip by
I get the opportunity to embrace it
And afterwards I become so appreciative.

I said yes when I wanted to say no
But that was me pushing away what I thought I didnt deserve
Fear
Too good to be true?
Dont want to mess this up because .. it lasts longer as a friendship
But.. sometimes your protectors dont allow you to walk away
They dont allow you to shut that door
They dont allow you to miss that chance
Because ... sometimes maybe.. you would come to realise
It was a blessing in disguise and you were about to let it slip through your fingers
