How judgemental are you?

Do you take a look at someone 

scan them up and down

and create a story for them?
do you scowl as this story forms in your mind?
are you basking in the glory that you are for certain right about this story you have created and this who this is character before you?
there is absolutely no way you could be wrong
the signs are there
you're aware, you've experienced it before, you've seen it before, its the same person in a different outfit.

Yes, knowledge on the world and how people are shape what you notice

Yes, things are not always what they seem.

Now imagine someone creating a story for you.

A story so far from the truth you wonder what you were wearing to give them that impression

what you said

what you did

what their experiences or knowledge must have been on your stereotype for them to assume that about you.

Because you are poor

or from a certain tribe

they assume you must have an ulterior motive

because your clothes are raggedy and you don't look smart

you must be uneducated. you must be out to get people, dupe them, seek the naive
because you don't have a job
you must be not be serious and not striving towards a goal and desperate to feed off others

because you are covered with tattoos, tattoos you cannot afford to remove

you must have "joined gang", you must be a thug

your mentality must be intolerable

a mentality that you obviously have not changed even if it was initially bad ...just based on your appearance.

because of your accent

you must be far from street wise, you must be flamboyant, you must not understand when you are being gossiped about.

because you a rich

you must be selfish, you must be superficial, you do not do anything for the society.

How long will this continue?

is this the way God taught us to treat one another?

to form impressions and stories about someone before they had the chance to reveal it to you?
how long we will create someones situation for them before knowing the actual truth behind it?
how long will we assume their words are lies?
no one can be trusted right? thus everyone is guilty until proven innocent

how long will we go without first giving someone a chance before we become skeptical?

can we not differentiate the difference between warning signs and stereotype influence upon the mind?
