Stay still

reality

forcing you to kick the gear to neutral

but you won't listen

mind going the distance

thoughts racing at miles per minute

its the thrill

the overdrive

and you won't stop

because that state of being still while you know the earth is spinning fast doesn't let you

organized chaos 

a consistent comfort

distractions over numbness

numbing distractions

give me any, I'll take the pill

but just don't go thinking you can heal what's within

mind, body and soul must be connected

and it will be

maybe not now

but it will be

as long as the earth keeps spinning

and mind keeps racing

I will stay still.
